Episode 56: The Philosopher Princess

This week, we have a special guest! Charming Fields is back to talk about one of his favorite topics: Etymology. Specifically, the etymology of virtue.

We’ll also break down our reactions to the list of 101 virtues we’ve been grading ourselves on. No, good grades don’t mean we’re super virtuous, and bad grades don’t mean we’re depraved ingrates.

Next week you won’t have a new episode in your feed…we’ll be taking a little vacation..

Here is the link to that document I promised in the episode:

A great big thank you to Seven production here in Mulhouse France for the use of the song La Joie as the intro and outro to the show, to Matt Kugler, who whose new album AVENTURA is out on all the digital music platforms now, who sang it and to Claude Ekwe who wrote it.

Episode 64: The Golden Rule Rules Sing With Your Feet

I am passionate about contentment. This is a challenge, because I am equally passionate about progress. I get up at 4:00AM to chip away at a solution to this monolithic problem: how to make progress on my contentment. Born and raised in the USA, I married a French philosophy teacher in 1999. We have lived in France since 2007. We stayed young and carefree until life threw us two curveballs in the form of little humans one after another in 2015 and 2017 respectively. Now I am a slightly older, slightly more exhausted version of myself, but with mystery stains on my walls and a never-ending pile of laundry.
